ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE LIVE@JACK’S VENUE
Live@Jack’s, a local room with a national reputation. Established in 1998 as Jazz@Jack's by the nationally touring and locally loved Jazz band Dotsero and prominent Doctor Mr. Karlin, with the idea of bringing Denver a "Chicago Style Cigar & Jazz Room." Located then in the outskirts of Downtown Denver on 1553 Platte Street on the second floor of an office building. The sultry, black box environment was the underground hang out and spot for jazz. Over time the space out-grew their humble beginnings moving the business in 2006 to the heart of Downtown Denver on the top level of the Denver Pavilions.
Under the direction of Managing Owner Sandra Holman Watts, the venue bacame Live@Jack's, featuring live music of all musical genres 6 nights a week. 4-6 thousand live music enthusiasts, including conventioneers and locals, visited the "must-experience" hot spot Live@Jack's monthly. Watts has been with the company since 1998 and brings more than thirty-five years of experience in the entertainment/food and beverage industry.
